When you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, it's important to have a caring, reliable source for information and support. To meet that need, Yuma Regional Medical Center hosts an American Cancer Society Cancer Resource Center. The center is staffed by volunteers who can provide information on all types of cancer and cancer treatments. They are also available to assist patients with transportation to medical appointments, lodging when treatment is scheduled away from home, hats, wigs, prostheses, liquid nutrition and other needs.
The American Cancer Society is located at 2400 S. Avenue A, inside the Women and Children Services entrance to the hospital. The center is open Monday through Friday. Hours vary in winter and summer. For more information, call 928-336-4969.
